We are delighted to share that our Golf Charity Day at Poult Wood Golf Club, raised an amazing £2,104!

A huge thank you to all 43 players who took part, to everyone who donated prizes, to our generous sponsors, and to those who added extra donations on the day. Your support makes such a difference.

Special thanks to Graham and Olivia Evans for organising such a brilliant event. The feedback has been wonderful and it seems everyone is already looking forward to doing it all again next year!

We have some amazing news to share!

Breakfast Buddies is now officially a registered charity —

Registered Charity Number 1215288

This is such a big step for us, and we couldn’t have done it without the kindness and encouragement we’ve had from our community.

Every breakfast we serve, every smile we share, happens because of your support. And now, as a registered charity, we can do even more to help feed people who are homeless or vulnerable in our area.

27th September 2025 – Fourteen Buddies and three volunteers hit the lanes in style, with plenty of smiles all round, thanks to support from the National Lottery Community Fund.

We do not share photos of our Buddies here to protect their privacy, but trust us, there was lots of laughter.

Our next trip has been booked for 22nd November – we can’t wait!

Our First Birthday – 6 September 2025

What a birthday celebration!

Huge thanks to everyone who made the morning so full of treats and smiles. The Bake Barn baked us up a storm with 30 brownies and cookies (yes, thirty!), Sue Lester kept us topped up with cartons of juice, and Tosh and Tim brought along bags of essentials like tins, pasta and rice. Debbie added a mountain of goodies too, from toiletries and snacks to sauces, tea and sugar.

Our brilliant volunteers Viv, Amanda and Jules came armed with crisps and party food, Olivia made sure we had birthday cakes to cut, and Jacquie Harris from Hidden Hearing treated us to lip salves and lollies for the party bags.

And Alan from the Maidstone Day Centre gave us a digital tyre inflator for the van, such a thoughtful gift (especially with that slow puncture!).

And the biggest thank you of all to our Buddies, who turned up with laughter and warmth and made it such a joyful morning.

🌳 Buddies Day out at Mote Park 🌭🍦

Took the gang to Mote Park for a proper good day out. Picnic bits and salads, some freshly cooked sausages and bacon, and the best kind of weather — mostly dry, with just enough drama in the clouds to make it interesting.

The real treat? Free ice creams, thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund. Grown adults grinning like kids. One of us may have gone back for seconds. Not naming names.

And the lake? A whole bunch of paddleboarding mayhem, wildlife sightings, and that kind of peaceful buzz you only get when everyone’s doing their own thing but still together. Thanks to Stuart and his team for being so welcoming. Mote Park Watersports Centre

Simple stuff. But one of those days you look back on and think, yeah, that was good.
